📈 Understanding Your Visibility Score

Learn how we calculate your listing's visibility and what each score means for your bookings and revenue potential.

How We Calculate Your Visibility Score

We look at up to 20 upcoming days where the listing is bookable.

Closer dates count more. We check in which page the listing shows on Airbnb search results. We calculate a weighted average page number.

Then we convert that into a qualitative label like OPTIMUM, GOOD, BAD.

Visibility Levels & Thresholds

OPTIMUM ✅ 🏆

What it means: Your listing appears consistently on the first page of search results in the coming weeks.

How calculated: The weighted average page position is ~1.0 or better across at least 5 eligible days.

EXCELLENT ⭐🌟

What it means: Very strong visibility — usually on the first page, with only rare slips.

How calculated: Weighted average is ≤ 1.7, meaning most upcoming searches show you on page 1, sometimes at the end.

VERY GOOD 😀👍

What it means: Good exposure — often visible in the top 2 pages of results.

How calculated: Weighted average between 1.7 and 2.3. Guests still see you quickly, but not always first-page.

GOOD 🙂✔️

What it means: Decent visibility — your listing is usually between page 2 and 3. Guests will find it, but with a bit more effort.

How calculated: Weighted average between 2.3 and 3.1.

AVERAGE 😐➖

What it means: Mediocre visibility — your listing appears between pages 3 and 7. Guests may skip before reaching you.

How calculated: Weighted average between 3.1 and 7.

BAD ⚠️🙁

What it means: Poor visibility — your listing is usually buried beyond page 7, meaning fewer clicks and bookings.

How calculated: Weighted average between 7 and 12.

VERY BAD ❌💀

What it means: Extremely weak visibility — your listing appears after page 12 or not at all. This severely limits bookings.

How calculated: Weighted average greater than 12, meaning almost no exposure.

How We Track Your Visibility

We track your listing's position by running regular searches on Airbnb.com in the area where your property is located. To ensure a fair comparison, we filter results to include only listings with the same number of bedrooms as yours.

The search radius depends on the density of listings in your area. In busy urban areas, it may be just a few hundred meters; in rural or less active markets, it may extend several kilometers. The exact radius and the number of listings analyzed are shown in the footer of your report.

We check positions every 24–48 hours to capture changes over time. Airbnb's ranking is not static: results vary by device, browser, time of day, and even user profile. Airbnb also rotates listings — sometimes pushing them up to give exposure, then moving them down again if they don't generate bookings. If you frequently search for your own property, Airbnb may stop showing it to you altogether, interpreting your repeated views without booking as a lack of interest.

Airbnb does not publish its algorithm, but these patterns are consistent with how their system behaves. Our monitoring method gives you a reliable benchmark of how visible your property is compared to similar ones nearby.
